Who is Arelia Johnson?

IMG_7196Arelia Johnson has worked as an educator, in public school since 2008, cultivating young minds from seventh grade to high school, raised test scores in the most deplorable conditions, and been a community advocate fighting on behalf of parents and students.

In 2011, during her tenure at Texas Southern University, Arelia Johnson discovered a massive amount of research about self-esteem, self-worth, and body image. Over the next two years, she found a correlation between self-confidence, identity, and accomplishment and presented her research at the College Language Association’s Conference in New Orleans, La; Ms. Johnson knew then that she was on to something and the information had to be shared.

By the fall 2015, Ms. Johnson had published, researched, and presented workshops, from Houston to Philadelphia,  extensively on positive self-image, self-worth, and accomplishment, sexuality, gender roles, and performance, and public education, mobility, and African American youth.
